Higgins Armory Museum - Know the Place
John woodman Higgins, president of the Worcester pressed steel company, loved good steel. Medieval armorers made good steel, so he collected it: more than 100 full suits of armor for men, women, children and even dogs. His collection got so big (over 8000 pieces) that in 1929 he built a special armory to house it - this art-deco building with interior neogothic accents is the Higgins Armory Museum in Central Massachusetts in New England ( http://www.higgins.org/ ). Quest Gallery in the museum is a place for kids where kids can try on 'castle clothing' and replica suits of armour.
