Something Amazing

Have a friend select a page in a book, choose a word in any one of the first nine lines and in the first nine words of that line. tell him you can find the word chosen.

Ask him to multiply the number of the page by 2, and then by 5; then to add 20; next add the number of the line, add 5 to that sum, and multiply by 10; finally to add the number of the word in the line, and to give you the result. From the number he gives you subtract 250, in your mind, and you can open the book to the page of the line and show him the word he selected.

Example:
For page 124, 1st line, 7th word

124*2=248
248*5=1240+20=1260
1260+1=1261+5=1266
1266*10=12660+7=12667
12667-250=12417

Test your Kids IQ

Intelligence Quotient(IQ) tests use memory, reasoning and problem solving to assess a person's mental capacity. Alfred Binet was the first to develop IQ test and so it is often referred as Stanford-Binet test. The average score on an IQ test is 100. IQ tests are one measure of a person's intelligence and should be used together with other assessments when making decisions about your child's education. In addition to IQ tests, parents and teachers should consider behavior observations, student work and standardized tests. Here are some sites to undergo online IQ tests for your kids:

Games Corner

Games do a lot. Let kids play games. It makes them be active, competant, brisky, improve their vocabulary as they play, helps to nourish brain cells. But, it is a MUST dont allow them to watch the monitor or computer screen continously as the moisture in their retina of eyes will dry & eyes become reddish & soon it will yield them to so for spectacles. Just ask them to look on other side especially on greens on every 15 minute interval........ Herewith I share some playstations in web that are trustable & mind worthy. I use these sites for my kids to play with and they are agrd 5 yrs and 4 yrs.
